Been posting in Lotus forums but just realised this was here today. Just thought I'd say hi and see if there was anyone else from Washington or nearby?

Bought a Type 25 Elise 6 months ago. Dont see any other Elises in Washington but the odd TVR. Is that anyone who posts in here?

Hope to see you all at a meet sometime soon.

There's a couple of Elise's and at least one Esprit that regularly join us on runs and gatherings.

WendyG and LoopyJ have Elise's

Wedg1e has an Esprit but I've not seen that one on the road yet

I usually pass a yellow Elan going the other way on the felling bypass every morning at around 7:40. I've been on earlier starts though so haven't seen him for a few weeks.

I was blatting through Washington myself today. You'd have had to be quick to see me though - like lightening along my favourite road round the back of Nissan.

Andy - was that you going past the Ravensworth Arms in Lamesley last Saturday (when the roads were flooded)? It was soooo annoying, I don't often see another Elise, let alone another Type 25, and I was driving my husband's bloody Octavia Estate!

Also known as Lotus Support Vehicle! Someone has to carry all the kit and the child(ren). Anyway, he's happy as long as he has his bike.

Yeah Wendy that was me! Fancied a drive out after work and was heading North to find some better roads. Quite like the winding Roads near Derwent Water but was going the scenic route. With the roads being bad the car was filthy when I got home.

Apologising for not noticing the Octavia. I'm sure its a mighty fine car. You drive a Type 25 usually as well?!?

I'll be up at Washington in the morning.

Yes, Bob, my Esprit IS on the road - rather more than can be said for the TVR since the battery died and the local factors seem to be on strike

Yeah Wendy was thinking about the Butter Tubbs run on 1st May as my first NEPH day out.

Just been watching tvrbob's video on his profile from the trip through North Yorkshire. Thought I caught sight of a Type 25 at one point. I'm assuming that was you? Whats your job by the way? Curious coz your profile says scary person!

Dont think i've seen you before but i'll look out for you wedg1e. Work in Low Fell, Gateshead but i'll be driving around Washington dinner time ish.

Please do. I have trouble getting NEPHers to these things. It's a NE region event but there's twice as many Yorkshire folk coming than Northerners.

Yes that was Wendy

Wendy has the scariest job in the world. I hate that I can't deal with it but Wedny's job is very 'in your face' and painful

You should come see us at Shafto's on Monday.

Ah Ha another Elise owner! I bet your feeling a little sore after parting with £260 at F1 lotus for your A service?

I assume that your Type 25 is still under warranty and that’s why you got it serviced at the dealer. I'll be getting my S1 serviced at a local specialist in Gateshead - www.judeperformance.co.uk Speak to Dan if you want your car serviced there.

Anyway, I’m in sunny South Shields so not that far away, I’m going to try and make Shafto's on Monday, see if you can pop along and make a stand against all these TVR's !!

Warranty is long gone. Didnt realise there was a decent specialist in the area. £260 hurt a lot considering the tax is due next month and insurance the month after!

I'll see if I can make it Monday. Where is Shafto's? How many usually turn out?
