Sticking with Porsche.
Had it 4 years now and I still don't know what I'd replace it with without a significant additional chunk of cash.

Nonsense, you can never be too old. I know they are desirable to spotty oiks, but the owner demographic is quite different on the ownership forum. Many are 3rd/ 4th cars, sharing a garage with some other true exotica. Not mine sadly, it's purely a second car to a more mundane daily driver.

You don't see many Astra Coupes in that sort of condition! The toy looks fantastic, where have you had it for sale?

Just read through the advert for that Nova, it's fking class! Were it not for my current car fitting my hot hatch needs, I'd snap that right up. It looks like something from a tarmac rally, and the build job on it sounds second to none!

Got a new car yesterday, I've had the R32 for years now and fancied a change. We had a baby in December so needed a practical family car. Nailed it.

Me Again! bought myself an Old Mk2 Escort Mexico Last September to stop myself getting bored over the winter , has been a challenge and a half I can tell you! was in pretty poor condition and have had to strip it right back to a shell and replace/weld up pretty much everything except for the roof!

pics of it the day I collected it, didnt look too bad til I stripped it then yikes

4 months later and 220 hours spent welding and 400 hours squaring up the body and then a nut and bolt full on rebuild after replacing, 2 front wings, both inner wings, front panel, hinge panel, inner hinge panel, inner sill, outer sill , front floor pans, door skins , scuttle panel, bulkhead , screen pillars , wheel arches, inner wheel arches, back panel , inner lower quarter panels, both front chassis rails and one rail front to back, rear spring hangers , Its pretty much finished!

there is a build thread if anyone is interested in having a look over on turbosport , link http://www.turbosport.co.uk/showthread.php?t=45772...

small world, when did you own it?? and what condition was it in back then ? any pics of it ? will drop you a pm smile

I had a bloke came to my house to buy an Audi I was selling 2 month ago and as we got talking I mentioned the Mexico and turns out he owned it around 1978/79 and part exchanged it for an rs2000, he was from redcar, looking at the history it had 3 owners around that area
