Did I just see a undercover Plod BIKE this morning ?
A Blue sporty bike (Sorry not a bike man, nor saw it for long enough) - near Stockton. Rider with Blacks legs, Vis 'fitted type' jacket and white Helmet. Looked like he was wired up with radio type gear.

Are they running Bikes too now ?
Yes, and they have been for a while. Grey sports bike with grey 'Cleveland Constabulary' logos (very discreet) spotted a few times before.

They also run Black off road types, unmarked, mainly for chasing the illegal field riding etc, but they do get used for other ops.

Hardly undercover, but this - http://www.flickr.com/photos/29909549@N08/51878143... - has been buzzing about Teesside today, apparently a BMW demonstrator. Looks like they gave it to some primary school kids to livery, after a Smarties overdose.
With the black bits, I initially thought it was one of those lookalikey private security cars...

Ha, I got stuck in traffic around the Derwent reservoir on Sunday whilst the cycle race was being supervised and this was among the 8 or 9 police bikes and half a dozen marked cars that were there from Cleveland,Durham and Northumbria forces.

whistle

Glasweigan plates ?

I assume you don't mean a Soltaire / Ecosse sticker....

what would be a Glasweigan prefix - out of interest of course wink
You've got them there.

I passed it once, saw the driver in a plod stabby, thought I was mistaken - came back up the other way 20 minutes alter and it'd stopped an old Transit Doasyoulikey edition.

I got chased up the A19 recently - he said it took him 9 miles to catch me <chuckle, chuckle> - he wasn't unmarked, I just shot past the Thornaby junction and didn't see him.... Luckily he wasn't traffic patrol and I did say I was very sorry...!

From the vehicles I saw stopped around the area, I guess they were putting the joint command to good use in a specific operation. Good for 'em, I say.

Black E90 BMW 320D, seen him a few times on the A1. Between gateshead and Durham.

The double aerial and BIB wearing a high vis gives it away.

Lol exactly what I thought, though it does look very inconspicuous in your rear view.
