Saw a very nice MCoupe there. Saw it pulling in and wanted to talk to owner (i am an recent ex owner) but did not see him/her getting out.
Some great cars there. Loved the blue hotrod!
I saw it pulling out but never saw the owner walking around. Shame I missed the 355 blowing up bet that was quite an event! Some great cars there. Loved the blue hotrod!
The 355 Spider that went pop was parked further down to the right of the pub.
Anyone know of any sites that may have pictures from this meet?

Timing was bad I will admit, saw that it was on 2 weeks or so ago and had a nightmare day at work and completely forgot until was driving home on the night! Went through Elwick about 7pm on the way home realised it was on, grabbed a chinese and the Monaro and headed up lol, would have cleaned it on Sunday if had remembered about the meet.
Think I took about 2 pics of that old Aston Vantage but that was it kept talking to people!

Blue hotrod at Elwick 2009 was my mate Richies model A ford, f/glass body, rover V8. This, and my black n silver flaked Studebaker can be seen at a show near you throughout the year. And if I can get my son to get his finger out of his butt we might even see his GT Beetle again. Thats us sussing out the yellow TVR in the first 2 photos above.Anyone wishing to find out about local car shows could do a lot worse than subscribing to "morgans diary"....thousands of shows throughout the northern region, or look up the TYMC events list....loads going on locally if you know where to look, Swainby, Broughton, Hurworth, Middlesbrough, Darlo, Croft, Hartlepool, durham regatta, whitby regatta, Masham, Redcar, Staindrop,Stockton,Pickering,Ingleton,Seaburn,Bishop Aukland....thats just the stuff within a few miles of where I live........dont even get me started on the stuff an hour or so drive away....

Good weather, a good turn out, a Pub on the village Green and no idiots - perfect.
One of the stars of the show - an XJ220. I cant remember the last time I actually saw one of these, if ever. It took a while and a 37 point turn to get it parked, but it sure did have some presence.
I also liked the yank stuff including (but not exclusively) a 1st gen light blue Corvette (very sweet and very clean) and the Chevy 55/56/57 (dunno which one) parked close to it. A bright orange Camaro (looked as hard as nails) and an Oldsmobile that was so big it took several minutes to walk round it.
The supercharged Monaro VXR was very nice too and we spent some time drooling over it. It sounded good on the way out too, even though its exit was spoilt by some numpty walking across the road in front of it (no it wasnt me either).
Roll on next year.

Yes agree some fantastic cars, only ever spotted that XJ220 once before, considering it lives round the corner from me its a rare spot!
Some of the old yank stuff was excellent, some lovely TVR's liked the bright blue Griff, the 993 911 was a very nice colour, naturally the two astons and the 360 spider, as you might guess my knowledge of old cars is very very limited.
Would have made a big exit, however way way too many ppl at this years event, was just too many kids walking on the paths either side, plus the guy who decided to throw his daughter into the road quickly followed by himself in front of me (great idea) put an end to getting my foot down!
