The nameless family company that I have gone to for tyres and tyre fitting over the past decade are undergoing a generational change which I think has impacted on their standards of service........to that end, I'm looking for a personal recommendation for a tyre fitter that will very carefully fit tyres that I supply to my 911.

Ideally on the west side of Glasgow but happy to travel across town to get a good job.

I'm putting the fronts on other wheels as they are still healthy so 6 wheels to change all in.

I know JC recommended Prestige Tyres in Busby so if there are no other faves I will try them.

Cheers in advance. B

Sorry no other names, just a further recommendation for Prestige. Do not take my cars anywhere else.

I've used Performance Tyres in Anniesland and they took very good care of my alloys, jacked the car up with a trolley jack, undid the nuts carefully with a long handled wrench, torqued them up correctly afterwards - most of the process done carefully by hand rather than quickly with machinery, great prices too, matched black circles/mytyres prices for the tyres I wanted.

I've called Prestige in the past, they must be very busy as I still await my return call...

Baz, it might be a bit far out of your way but Peter at Motortune also fits tyres.

How are you going to get the tyres and wheels there? tongue out

Are you going to take them in the Landy and go back for the car? laugh

( The 928 might run on 5 cylinders, but I can get another set of wheels and tyres in it )biglaugh

Hi 6C4GTS,

I can recommend , as can others on the SIDC Subaru forum , Auto Image on Great Western Road 0141-333-0575
Speak to Scott ( Scoobywho on SIDC ) or Ian , who's the boss .
I used them for new tyres / wheels / swapping about on my Impreza , and they do a lot of tyres and wheels for Merc / Porsche etc.
Found them very professional and ( patient with me swapping tryes and wheels for the n'th time biggrin )

Hope that helps ,

Steve

I've been using Performance Tyres in Paisley for years and they have always been first class. They can get busy at times but not a problem when you phone ahead.

They're down off Abercorn Street...

Another vote for Jim Dickson, been going there for over 10 years, Jim even got me my snap on impact wrench a lot cheaper than i'd have got it going to snap on directly, top bloke and fantastic service, it'll help if you tell Jim you know me smile

John.
