I wouldn't want to commute from Nuneaton to Bagington each day!! Bagington itself isn't too bad, not sure what house prices are like, doubt you'll find anywhere in the Finham area, there's a premium on the house prices there thanks to the School. Could try Cheylsmore, although it's not as nice an area as it used to be. Kenilworth as others have said is very nice, but you will struggle on your budget, a 2 bed end terrace goes for around £175k.

OK-just an idea as property in Nuneaton goes for a lot less than other parts of the county.

Parts of Nuneaton and "Beduff" are better than parts of Coventry.
But overall I wouldn't choose to live in N'ton or B'worth, and would probably put Coventry ahead only because of the facilities there.
OP - if you're still 20-something or so I'd probably try and find somewhere affordable in Leamington Spa - better social/night-life than Cov, decent town centre and some parts aren't stupid prices.

I'd question that. My kids range from late 20's to early 30's, from no licence to bikers with car licences. They all seem to find life in Nuneaton OK. And House prices are lower than other parts OF wARKS. Certainly ,in terms of getting anything in Nuneaton , the old horse has died ,and the one left is decidedly lonely (Meaning that Nuneaton is a one horse town , lacking in imagination) .But thee is lot of night-life in Nuneaton, especially for a young person .

I knew this thread would turn into a Coventry vs Nuneaton debate as soon as someone mentioned Nuneaton

Yes I think it was firmly tongue in cheek

Leamington is the only place I'd consider in north Warwickshire. Mind you, it's also the only place I've ever seen five different people urinating in the street on the same Saturday afternoon.

I'm Nuneaton based, but if I won the lottery, there's a lot of little villages I'd be looking at ,with prices lower than Coventry way. Seen several sub 150k ,in small villages not so far away .

Have you looked at Ryton? Really near to baginton and you don't need to negotiate the toll bar island to get there. Reasonably nice village location (nice chinky and pub) to suit a wide variety of house buyer budgets

AHEM - Leamington Spa is nice, but it's HARDLY North Warks, it's just north of the moist northern bit of Oxfordshire .

Leamington is almost central? Kenilworth looks to be the most central but is only a few miles from Leamington
