I didn't know this happened, I actually went through Long Itchington on my way back from the Sunday Service at Gaydon.

Yes its the first Sunday of every month, you never know what is going to be there although its roots are in Hot Rods and Americana.

If I turned up in my 996 C4S would anyone speak to me? The website makes it look like rods and specials only?

The meet is made up mostly of American hot rods/classics and we get a load of British classics as well. You'll be fine coming in the Porsche, but get here fairly early as parking space can really get short and they tend to squeeze cars in if they can. Parking down by the buses will be best as there's lots of room and not as many cars. I'm sure people will speak to you, but if they don't then there's plenty else to do. Why not go in the diner and have lunch if your attention span isn't very long? There's a kid who goes around talking to all the owners so i'll get him to come over to you.

My attention is pretty long where cars are concerned . I think I may well give it a whirl as the weather forecast is good... Judging from the photos on the website I'll not be the only one there with a long beard for a change

Prof Beard said: Well, I went. Really enjoyed it - nice friendly car nuts. Yes, i think i saw you in your car driving out, you must have been parked around the back? This was my favourite event to date, lots of really nice cars on display and the burnout was just brilliant. That's the third time i've seen him do this, the driver must be nuts! If you enjoyed this then i would strongly recommend attending CWMC Wheels at the Blue Lias pub next year. There's a wider variety of cars there and the Porsche will fit in really nicely! http://cwmc.org.uk/ - Click on 'Wheels Display'.
