Saw a few cars pottering about that looked like they were going to or coming from there while I was out on the push bike, look forward to hearing what it's like this year and seeing some pics.

Had a late run down to the show last night and had my worst fears confirmed. Loads of boring moderns, why would you want to go to a classic car evening to look at a Passat R36, Celica with body kit or a Clio with with after market rims and stretched tyres? I know they're all someone's pride and joy but take them to MFN or another car enthusiasts show. There was another emerging problem which will probably end up with the show being scrapped, several cars power sliding as they drove up the field to leave whilst others just drove round in circles sliding round other peoples cars. I know everyone that visits is a car enthusiast but last night was the worst I've seen it. The landlord definitely needs someone to control the entry onto the field and ask the wheel spinners and power sliders to leave when they start p!ss!ng about before property gets damaged or someone gets hurt. Lets just hope the landlord isn't too brassed off when he see the chewed up grass on his nice field this morning.

Left before this started but I agree there is too much common stuff on the field. There was a big guy on the gate trying to stop some going in (an Audi convertible), but the driver just ignored him. There were a lot of cars parked on the roadside, though, the police might just start ticketing a few. I did see a couple of PCSO's (sp?), walking round, but it's starting to get like Ashby Folville.

Looks like I'll be continuing to give it a miss then, I would recommend the meet at the Little John in Ravenshead but keep it quiet. wink

It's been going down hill for over a year now. So glad I didn't bother last night.

I must have gone to a different meeting then because i didn't see any wheel spinning on the field and a good percentage of the cars on show were classics.

Anyone going to this tonight?

I'm in the Landy so I have no idea if I'll be allowed in the field - though it is a 1986 plate so in theory has more right to be in there than the TVR

I was there last night in my VW bus.

Still great as far as I'm concerned. Yeah, there are a few run of the mill normal motors (largely because the normal car park is full probably).

For a twice monthly, free event behind a pub, I'd say it really takes some beating.
