Did anyone go out by the crossroads at the pub about 7.20 ? I did for a look. Utter chaos with big hold ups for people simply passing through the village let alone latecomers
Yeap, I was in that queue, which would have explained why the car did its best kettle impression when I finally got parked, saw quite a few nice classics turn around and some went for a drink up the road at the horse & groom. Yeap, starts tonight but I'm not sure if I can be bothered, might see what the turnout is like from the reports, and without sounding 'elitist' what the policing of what cars are parked where is like.
It got to the point last year where the field looked like an average supermarket car park with exotica turning round in the queue and going home.

I went.
It did look like it would pee down any minute all evening, but it held off.
I think they had someone 'selecting' cars on the gate. I was waved through by a man-mountain in hi-viz at any rate.
Still a far contingent of the VW fraternity but a fair mix of othe stuff too.
I will go back again.
There was someone there with a DSLR camera taking low level shots, so I'm surprised there are no pics.

I'm tempted with the Little John meet in Ravenshead on Wednesday 14th but the weather isn't looking good for next week.
I'll check it out Seriously though it does seem to get some nice cars going and the pub food is excellent.
