Nice turnout for the first one! Gave the 914 a blast out and had chance to catch up with old friends without the hassles for a change! Would have been nice to see a few more classics out on the road, but the weather might have put a few off!

A great location for a car meet. I left earlier than I wanted to as I had been working all night and the bed was calling me. I was there in the unwashed Irish reg Lexus SC 430.

Well done to all those who turned out to support CCB given the weather. Hopefully it all went off as Cosford would like & presuming they are happy for the next one to take place, that an even bigger number turn out next time & the weather holds fair next time biggrin

Good turnout even with the crap weather, However I agree with Coxy, Need more classics/rare marques to make it interesting.

Thanks to Paul for organising

Thank you to everyone who attended.

I am waiting to hear back from Cosford in respect of future dates, in particular the August date which is the next one penciled in.

We could do no more, the event went smoothly and everyone seemed happy considering the weather! I echo those comments above, it would be fantastic to see more exotic and classic metal at future events. The weather would have undoubtedly put some people off and I was limited to what promotion could be done due to the limitation of the two car parks for the first event.

We counted 155 cars through the gates (excluding Cosford customers), which, on a rainy day with limited promotion is perfect. I will provide an update following a meeting with the GM at Cosford, I hope to have some positive news!

In the meantime, HERE are some photos from the event. CDHPix took some fantastic photos and I will link to these later this evening.

The next Carcodes Cosford Brunch is confirmed!
SUNDAY 17th AUGUST

There are a few changes which should make the event even better, these are:

1) Earlier start and finish time
8:30am until 11:30am
This is to limit the cross over with Cosford Museum customers.

2) The Hangar Car Park will be available to registered guests who pay £3 donation to our chosen charity. All of your £3 will go to the Birmingham Women's Hospital Trust who helped my wife and I through a turbulent time with our little daughter Millie. Thanks to BWH, Millie is a fit and healthy little girl so it's my way of saying thank you.
To donate please click HERE

The Hanger Car park has a capacity of 65 so we aim to have no more than 3 of the same make and model
Car on this car park. The more interesting the car the better !

3) Costa Coffee should have a separate kiosk so those seeking the more flavoursome coffee will not need to clog up the breakfast queue

Please note all car parks will still be monitored and controlled by RAF Cosford and a £2.50 car parking charge will apply.

If you would like to register to have your car on the hangar car park then please email carcodes@gmx.co.uk with your name and make and model of your vehicle and donate £3 via the charity website: https://www.justgiving.com/CosfordBrunch

Thanks

Paul

The May event was great even if the weather was pants. Good to hear about the improvements with the cafe and Costa kiosk! I can't make the next one but will be heading to The Runway Display Car Show on the 31st August, looks a good event.

I've just sent you an email regarding the hanger car park, are there still spaces available?

Looking forward to the meet, hopefully the weather will stay dry smile

The traffic is going to be horrendous as the V Festival at Weston Park is on this weekend so allow plenty of time getting there.

Back roads = twisties

I'm in, and a few of the old school redditch boys are in too - looking forward to it. I was heading for an all day at Shelsey, but inadvertently doubled booked with the wedding photographer and a church service (a prerequisite for getting married)

A early drive out, noise, and a bacon buttie - back in time too to earn some wedding pints before ducking out for a game of poker in the evening if I'm lucky wink

I think I was asleep about 5 minutes later biggrin

And my post was meant to read 'points', not 'pints', although the latter is more appealing.
