Alloy wheel refurb – recommendations?
Discussion
I’m looking for recommendations for someone to refurb my alloys. I can’t drop them off and leave them, as I need the car, so either a "while you wait" (but I guess that could be a long wait, if it’s a decent refurb) or a mobile person (with the complication that it would probably have to be the weekend, as I get the train to work!)
Ideally Coventry/Solihull sort of area, but really just someone that will do a decent job in the Midlands (but I can’t drop the wheels off and leave them).

Talk to Chris at Exel - he has loan wheels so you're not without your car while he gets an excellent refurb done on yours! www.exelwheels.co.uk
I used speedwells recently who are in Tyseley/Small Heath area (I'm live in Solihull also). They did an AMAZING job on my wheels and they look like new, I can't recommend them highly enough. When I went they had a vehicle up on axle stands, and another sitting on some bespoke template wheel.
Give them a call and see what they suggest.

Cost depends upon size of wheel and work required, but mine cost £160 for four 18" wheels, which included sandblast, curbing repair and powder coating back to the original colour and tyres refitting. The quality of the work is amazing, and they refurb wheels for a lot of high end garages around B'ham
