Sounds like the firm I know. The owner was Hugo and he & his blokes were total professionals. Hugo may have retired as my last contact with him was helping him to sort a phone system at a disabled centre. He'd bought and installed it and had problems. Turned out he had a duff box.he'd asked for my help ,expecting to pay for my time. I'd no work planned for that day and took great pleasure in giving something back to society, so no charge.
The centre had gotten a grant for the CCTV system and he'd installed it and alarm system for free. A true gent.

I have a good friend in the security business and he specialises in alarm systems from houses to office blocks, he fitted my last three alarm systems and he wasn't overly expensive and offers a great after sales service, his name is Dereck raybold and his company is Sator alarms http://www.satorfireandsecurity.co.uk/contact-us/ give him a call or speak with Angela, mention my name Simon and say that I recommended them to you and they will look after you

I've used Aircare to install alarms in both my house and garage as part of the rewire.

We use http://www.beeteealarms.com/ and have done for years, and been happy with both the installation, service and aftercare.

My only advice would be not to use ADT

I'm happy to say on here:

Sales man was great, discussed our needs etc. payment was made, equipment delivered and engineer came a week later to fit.
The engineer was a total tit, he was rude, on his phone all day, upset my wife and couldn't get the system to work. The manager told him to give us the phone line system as the SIM card one would not work. I rejected that as it wasn't what I was sold (sales man said that the robbers can just cut the cable).
Two engineers later and it was finally working on the SIM card. One day I set the alarm off by entering the garage but noted no call from ADT - it turns out that I was not fully commissioned and hadn't been for 3 months...
Finally got the bloody system working. But the alarm can't be heard from the outside, only inside. I asked for an outside bell but was told they didn't do them.
I finally got a good engineer who sorted me out and fitted reception boosters, bell in the garage and a few other things.

Totally st apart from one engineer.
Took my money, gave a st service and the customer service department is useless. Never returned calls, we had to call daily to remind them about their promises.

Rant over
