Tonight at 8.17pm is the 40th anniversary.

RIP to those who lost their lives, and condolences to those who were left without loved ones.

A card left at the memorial broke me up when they showed it on the Midlands Today news tonight

something like

"We were to meet in town

I was late..."

I guess there aren't to many people on PH, old enough to have been around 40 years ago?

I'm older than anyone

My sister was in town that night, she'd been in the Mulberry Bush and was nattering to mates as they decided whether to go to the Tavern next or later

Later won and she was nearer Lewis's when it all went off.

That was why that note broke me up, there but for the grace...

I'm 40 next year, mum and dad were due to go out in town while pregnant with me but decided not to at the last minute. They'd planned to go to the Tavern I think
