Dropped a bit of a bk. Off the See Slash tonight at the LG in Birmingham music

Didn't think to arrange any parking in advance. I've just checked and the NEC/LG carparks seem to be all full (16,000 spaces?).

Anyone know of a place to park at sensible prices/ease of access to the venue?

Thanks in advance.

I'm in Stone so Stafford or Stoke would be good. I'll have a gander at trains to Birmingham International. thumbup

Plenty of trains going. Nothing of use coming back.

Car it is unfortunately.

There is loads of parking at the train station conversely! Its cheaper than at the NEC/Arena too!

Agreed. I use it all the time. However, you will be stuck in a traffic jam getting out of the carpark when the concert leaves. Advice, get there very early (maybe eat at a nearby restaurant beforehand - there is a Frankie and Bennys at the airport - take the Monorail), and park as close to the exit as possible - along the 'lane to the exit' as the arrows point.

Park in Balsall Common / Berkswell near to the train station and train to B'ham International

Have a pint in The Railway on Station Rd.

Was just about to suggest Marston Green for the same thing.

I park at the train station all the time when I go to the LG arena. Top tip - when you've crossed over the bridge and are in the train terminal part, redeem your parking ticket - the machines are near the train ticket booths. You can pay for it in advance and it is valid all night - saves queuing when the gig is over as lots will be doing the same wink
