PFI kart circuit off the A17 near Newark on Trent is far the best outdoor circuit and is used for international karting events and the hire karts are very good. Circuit length from memory is 1500m with a bridge section, very challenging

Pfi by a country mile. Adrians karts are always well maintained and set up which is refreshing for an arrive and drive.

Adrian has sold up at PFI. someone else is running the arrive and drive now.

As has already been mentioned, both PFI and Whilton Mill are great outdoor circuits, but they both use single engine Sodi karts which IMO aren't as good as the twins.

Ahhhh didn't know that. Agreed you need the twin engines, especially when your 40 odd and not a skinny 12yr old

Yes Adrian mills finished this year and the circuit is run by the Barnicoat family. All karts were new earlier this year and are top notch. All sessions are also run on the full circuit and not the old circuit as when Adrian ran the show!

Another vote for Whilton, great track and karts replaced last year. Have become a bit undsrsteery to make them more arrive and drive but still good fun.

No real name on it, but on Google maps it comes up as Priory Park circuit. Priory Farm
Robey's Lane
Birchmoor
Tamworth B78 1AR, United Kingdom
Robey's lane is off the B5000 between Polesworth and Glascote.

Those in the Midlands will know it as the site of Polesworth Market .

What about Wheels in Birmingham? I haven't been there for quite a few years now but I know when I went with work the twin engine karts on a damp track were fantastic!

Polesworth is ok (again ages ago when I went).

I thought the OP was looking for somewhere new to go for arrive and drive.
AFAIK Shennington doesn't offer this.
I've raced 250ICE there and it is another great outdoor circuit.

I find PFi a bit flat and find Whilton more interesting

What about Sutton - http://www.suttoncircuit.co.uk/the_circuit.html - not as long as Whilton but a bit more technical...

There seems to be quite a few folk on here who are into karting so how about a PH karting event, preferably in the Midlands at PFI, Whilton Mill or Daytona?

Would be up for this 100%. I know quite a few PHers that would be also.
