Dunno what they're playing at now but on a couple of the speed camera gantries they've stuck up some extra cameras mounted at the ends of the gantries. These look be active even when the 'intelligent motorway' rolleyes limits aren't in force judging by the flashes going off on the opposite carriageway.

Be careful folks!

Thanks for this.

Not seen them fire myself, but have noticed them.

I travel down the M1 32-25 and back every day every day and have been looking out for the other HADECS 3 camera after hearing about them going to be installed. (The other has been installed at J32)
Spotted it for the first time this morning when it flashed someone going northbound!

I think they are only southbound just after j26 on ramp, not seen anything northbound at this section. Worrying that they may set them at exactly 70, ridiculous! Will male the daily grind that bit more tiring!

Yeap, spotted them on Monday, North and South bound between J26 and J28 rolleyes
Very hard to spot if you are looking at the road, I was gazing out the window in the passenger seat.
Time to take the number plates off the car, or avoid these roads, I've already started using more town centre roads and rat runs after average speed cameras were put up on the Mansfield section of the A38 recently. wink

As of today there's a southbound only one just north of Trowell Services, and a pair of them covering both north/southbound roughly halfway between J26 and J27. No idea what trigger speed they're set to although a colleague thinks he got flashed going 80 indicated last week.

And how ironic that today there has been a multi-car pile up on this exact stretch of Motorway, great to see the positive effect on road safety. rolleyes

Just think how bad it would have been if they'd not been there wink

Am I right in thinking these are just in areas where there is a variable limit but there doesn't have to be a lower limit in place at the time? They couldn't just put one on a stretch of motorway with no signs where there is no potential for the limit to change?
