Recomendation for electric garage door - Birmingham area

As above, i'm after an electric garage door. BGID in Birmingham have been recommended to supply and fit, can anyone recommend anyone else?

Looking at getting an Aluroll roller shutter door...

Not B-ham per say but they do have local fitter/ sales guys (mine was from Wolverhampton) I had 3 fitted buy them and i am a fussy bugger on quality and fitment and i am very happy with both and they were cheaper than Aluroll

There was no hard sell unlike others that i got quotes from

Many thanks - I take it you also considered Aluroll then?

I've called up Birkdale and they've put me in touch with my local fitter. He's coming next week so I can get a quote. The fitter knows both brands and commented that both were very similar in quality, only alluroll can be 30% more.

This brand would have past me by so many thanks

Yes i did consider Aluroll doors i believe they are made in the UK. I did a lot of research on doors and got a lot of info of here, one of the threads sugested i give Mark a call from > http://www.discount-garage-doors.co.uk/roller-gara...

I have to say he was a most helpful chap, sending me samples of the slats, going through different manufacturers he even offered to take me around the Aluroll factory to take a look at them.

In the end it came down to the cost and the specifications. Normally i would have gone for the best which i think is Horman but needing 3 the price of the Birkdale was just too much to ignore added to that the quality of their doors was a no brainer.
