M5 Smart Motorway BS
Discussion
After 18 months of delays while Highways put in the concrete barrier BS between J4/6, they're now 'upgrading to smart motorway'
We've now got delays until the end of the year so that huge chunks of Worcestershire are gouged away to put in nanny state gantries with the usual crap - 'Stay left' 'Don't run out of petrol' 'Breathe in,breathe out, breathe in,breathe out'.
It boils my piddle, the irony of causing more delays than they'll ever save when this BS is up and running. Why don't they just fook off and do something useful for the economy like upgrading fibre optic comms if they need to keep the navvies busy.
The only problem on this stretch is the cretins who insist on pushing into lane 1 for the M42 North at J4a, causing mass application of brake lights, when it's a fookin double slip with access from lane 2
By all means build a gantry with a huge fookin laser to vapourize the fookwits who do this

Spend some money turning Bromsgrove bypass into dual carriageway.
Build a dual-carriageway ring road around Worcester instead of dicking around with the A4440.
Phase the traffic lights on the main routes through the city so an average of 15mph would see you hitting green lights instead of red ones.
