2003 Grand checked 2.7 crd alternator removal?

Hi piston heads.
Newly joined and need your help.
Got a 2003 grand checked 2.7 crd. Need to change the alternator. How is this done. I have the alternator un- bolted but can not get it out of the engine bay
Advice please.
