Hi Guys

We are coming down for a trackday on Monday 10th at Donington
and will be staying over on the Sunday evening and need somewhere decent to eat

Any suggestions for pubs or restaurants relatively nearby
We are staying at the Days Inn on the A50 and others at the Prem Inn at the airport

Coming from Yorkshire we like good hearty food at a good price (pubs?)
or any good curry house or chinese restaurants

Thanks
Trickie

PS Anyone doing the DPRAC Trackday?

Unfortunately I have sold my TVR (which was far too loud to get on any track anyway!!)
and will be thrashing the *rs* off my Boxster 3.2S for the first time

I know there are several TVR friends who are coming as well though

Cheers

My old Wedge 400 was 128Db so no chance of reducing enough to get on track!!!!!!

I had to use my Saab 2.8 Twin Turbo

Ghandis is the best Indian place for miles, service is superb and food is great, parking a little tricky but worth it

Hello,
Group of us coming from NYLOC. Staying at Premier Inn.
Should be a good day.

Might head out to Donington village for food.

See you there.

Both pubs in Long Whatton (10 minutes form Donington towards Loughborough), The Royal Oak and The Falcon Inn are pretty good.

The Castle Inn does nice food but you usually have to book.
If you're after a curry I would try curry tonight.
And if you're having a night out around Dono then be aware that both Castle Inn and The Apiary close their doors at 10.30 sharp.

Took your suggestion thanks and had the roast dinner at the Coopers

It was very nice and a good choice
It was very busy with a private function so had to eat in the bar
but was lovely food, drink and service.

Lovely place to sit in the summer also, with a pint beside the lake.

Happy to help smile
