Tell me about it! I only dared use 450bhp of the available 650bhp on offer too eek

Great run down this morning evil Apologies a couple of use left the convoy - we had another rendezvous with another bunch of mates.

Typical that I find this thread after the event.

Drove down from Brum to Banbury on my own (if briskly) to meet up with a friend at Banbury Mcdonalds.

Next event I'll join the convoy.

There's always next time for a SS convoy! We even drove past McDonalds in Banbury (well I think most of us did!)

Thanks to everyone who joined me for the run down - it was nice to see such a diverse range of cars & I'm just disappointed I couldn't hear the 'rumble' of certain cars in the group biggrin The great thing about PH is the different cars & that was summed up by the Isetta Bubble car as the SS making an appearance

Thanks for organizing the Convoy down Chris, had a blast as passenger in probably the slowest car in the convoy but the exhaust notes from some of the cars on the M42 and M40 were superb the 430 pops and bangs were spot on

Thanks for organizing Chris,

I think I managed to stay on the right route, but not sure because about 6/8/? of our group suddenly appeared from nowhere coming down a slip road.

M600 also gets a smokin from me..

It looks like they took the B4525 from Banbury to Silverstone, which is the way I'd usually go. I was particularly impressed at home they joined the A43 right as the last car in the main convoy passed - you couldn't plan that!

Thanks for organising again Chris.

^ that's the other way we could've gone (& have taken before going past the place with the tank parked outside) but given the size of the group I took what I thought was the simplest route - that'll teach me!

It was good as well to meet a future PHer in Junior xgomxx - at 3 yrs old there's plenty of opportunity to impress on him what's cool, & having a child seat in a 503bhp Subaru for his dad is v.cool too, though I'm gutted Junior doesn't like the anti-lag yet as that would've made my day hearing that smokin

Hi
I also wanted to say thanks for organising the drive up there. Being a newbie I was a bit nervous I was going to get stuck at some lights and get lost but I shouldn't of been. It was a great route which me and the wife really enjoyed.
Thanks

The colour is so different in the sun, a really light colour but in poor light looks more green. Love the blue you had. I'm definitely going to try and get some track time on the next one. I'm sure the sound of the car is getting better the more miles I put on the car.
I really enjoyed that tvr in front of us. Sounded great.

We got stuck at the temporary traffic lights before a roundabout, got stuck behind a Berlingo, Micra then a horsebox & then caught the main convoy on the A43.

Great convoy & being the filling in a TVR & Porsche sandwich was an epic to start the day.

We lost you at an Island in Banbury. Did not have a clue which way you had gone. There was no one behind us either as they had got stuck at some temporary traffic lights a while before. Had a nice drive through some lovely lanes but slowed down a bit when we realised you must have gone a different way.
