I'll compliment the colour on the Exige and the GT4 with my little blue Mini (now sporting a lot less go-faster stickers)...

I've had a slight setback in that the briefing session for my track time is at 08:20. I have called to see if I can swap to a later session - i'm awaiting a call back.
I read the SS thread & saw the early briefing - not to worry if you don't make the convoy down as we'll catch up at Silverstone.

It looks as well like it will be a cool morning first thing so those on 'super special' tyres will be pleased to know we'll be taking it gently wink

Don't worry my anti lag will keep everyone warm :-)
If that's the case, Craikeybaby won't need his bobble hat if he's got the roof down and he's following you thumbup

Unless you think the list is getting to big ?

There are Three of us plus possibly one more. Chimaera(tvrjas),Griffith(AcidRich) and a 911(3gadgriff) and the possible is a Cerbera/Tuscan or he might just come with me (He is confirming around 3pm tomorrow)

Jas
That's no problem numbers-wise although I'll probably give a few people some shortened directions. If you have a walkie-talkie, I suggest it might be useful to bring it yes

It's going to be noisy.... smile

Weather looks good for tomorrow, but very cold and possible ice first thing,
Be careful.
Cold weather/air that is more dense makes for more bhp with a turbo powered car thumbup It hopefully won't be cold enough for a frost but I'll be extra vigilant as the 'pathfinder' for the group, especially on Yoko AD08Rs with quite a few more ponies available than Mini sent it out of Oxford with when new

Hey Tim!! how on earth are you?

I will see what the team leader comes back with!, If the convoy is leaving the M40 at Gaydon J12 I will meet it there as there isn't much point in me going up to Brum and back.
Will wait and see, my clutch is on it's last legs so I will see about pace!

Be good to see you and the M3 and catch up over a cuppa smile
If you're looking to meet us en-route, we'll come off at J15 M40 heading to the A429 signed Cirencester & there's a lay-by just off the motorway island on the A429. I'll be hopefully at the front in a bright blue Mini with white roof.

PM me if you want to know another meeting point slightly further down the route wink

laughlaugh I remember that one. Let's hope we all make it past the first roundabout driving
I thought you guys would have saved that laugh for an audience tomorrow! Seeing as we've no Aston Martin drivers this time, we'll blame it on them not being able to keep up with a Mini smokin I've also made plans to prevent 'fragmentation' of the convoy - if you've a walk-talkie bring it along idea

Mustdash - I'll bring some detailing spray to clean the windows on your car so you've no excuse for not seeing which way I go on the way there hehehehe

Typical that I find this thread after the event.

Drove down from Brum to Banbury on my own (if briskly) to meet up with a friend at Banbury Mcdonalds.

Next event I'll join the convoy.
There's always next time for a SS convoy! We even drove past McDonalds in Banbury (well I think most of us did!)

Thanks to everyone who joined me for the run down - it was nice to see such a diverse range of cars & I'm just disappointed I couldn't hear the 'rumble' of certain cars in the group biggrin The great thing about PH is the different cars & that was summed up by the Isetta Bubble car as the SS making an appearance

It looks like they took the B4525 from Banbury to Silverstone, which is the way I'd usually go. I was particularly impressed at home they joined the A43 right as the last car in the main convoy passed - you couldn't plan that!

Thanks for organising again Chris.
^ that's the other way we could've gone (& have taken before going past the place with the tank parked outside) but given the size of the group I took what I thought was the simplest route - that'll teach me!

It was good as well to meet a future PHer in Junior xgomxx - at 3 yrs old there's plenty of opportunity to impress on him what's cool, & having a child seat in a 503bhp Subaru for his dad is v.cool too, though I'm gutted Junior doesn't like the anti-lag yet as that would've made my day hearing that smokin
