Just wondering if there's any car related stuff going on in between Xmas & New Year?

Would be up for a meet / run out on 28th if there's enough people up for it and it's dry...

Anyone about to blow the cobwebs off? driving

Sounds like a good idea MrVert (I was planning an early morning run to the Welsh coast, maybe Barmouth).

I'll always find an opportunity for a Peak District run out with breakfast enroute & we could still be back for lunchtime biggrin I know a few nice roads & it could suit all types of cars including the slightly lower powered ones like mine wink

Wasn't planning on going quite that far RESSE...as it'll be weather dependent to a certain extent.

Would you be up for a more Midlands based hoon?

Cheers.

Could be up for something Peak District based? Having just taken delivery of a new toy I'm itching to see what it's like on some twistys.

Last year, there was a meeting at Oundle, it was well attended and a nice relaxed atmosphere with some nice cars. Sadly, it seems its not being run this year !

I'll throw out to those interested the possibility of the morning of Bank Holiday Tuesday (27th)?? If anyone wants a run out into the Derbyshire Peak District, then we can do something (domestic approval given for me biggrin ) The suggestion would be to meet somewhere around Lichfield at 08.30 to head into the Peaks for a loop & to return back to the starting point for lunchtime (including a quick stop for a drink/breakfast). If we do it, then I'll clearly not publish the route on the forum although the general direction would be towards Leek - Buxton - Ashbourne & back with quite a lot of B/unclassified roads taken in & I coincidentally tried a possible new route last Sunday thumbup

PS just realised MrVert suggested the 28th although I'm conscious that levels of traffic are worth considering to maximum the enjoyment of a run to the Peaks, hence the suggestion of the Bank Holiday Tuesday - sorry getmecoat

Nothing to fancy, just the latest Golf GTi for my daily driver.

A drive through the Peaks is good with me, just can't do 29th onwards.

I would like to say 'definitely' but whether I can attend will depend on family commitments...........

The weather currently looks cold & dry for the morning of the 27th (& it will be cold given we'd be going right up onto the top & running along a few of the ridges with the likely wind chill but that's why you've got a bobble hat if you're going topless hehe ). I've done quite a few variations route-wise in the past when I was a noisy biker.
