Really sorry fella's we're not going to be able to make it anymore.

Hate letting people down late notice but logistics aren't working in my favour for tomorrow.

Hope you have a good ride out - weather looks to be superb.

I didn't see you as the jealous type! My Accuweather forecast for both the starting point & the area we'll be heading to is completely different! We'll get our "sunnies" ready & take a few snaps for you & post them up either at the coffee stop or when we're back just before lunch

Thanks to MrFQ & Hungrymc for joining me to welcome in 2017 & say goodbye to 2016. It was a cool/slippy start but we were being looked down on favourably & the roads we wanted to cover were generally good & gritted.

wavey to the Lotus group we met en-route ("the hills were alive to the sound of Lotus") & we hope you had a good extended run out & here's the evidence for those that couldn't come that the "sunnies" were needed #driveit #farewellmarmite

Good to meet you chaps today - Cottage kitchen is just up the road from me so is a regular start point.

Stunning weather but 'interesting' conditions in places! Still great fun to get out, some of the cheeky stuff was untreated so didn't go for a major adventure but still managed to get in a fairly traffic free loop and shook some foundations in Bakewell on the way home biggrin

Managed to nab a couple of quick snaps.

Thanks for the company and navigation today chaps. Looking forward to some of those roads when there is a little less ice about!

LukeH, good to meet you & hear the hills alive to the sounds of Lotuses! You're car looked far too clean but I guess that'd be because you're local! Will have to organise a coffee/start from the Cottage Kitchen next time with you - it's v.posh compared to the Little Chef that was there before it hehe It's the first time I'd called at the Cottage Kitchen btw & great pics you've taken too thumbup

I'd probably done about 8 miles by that point, I can assure you it was absolutely rancid by the time I got home! biggrin

Haha yeah slight step up from the old Little Chef and its well positioned as a starting point, always keen for a run out although i've filled my ice/frost driving quota for 2017 in that car!

Were you just leaving the cafe when your heard them going up towards onecote? I knew my car was loud but thats about 3/4 of a mile away laugh
