Were you just leaving the cafe when your heard them going up towards onecote? I knew my car was loud but thats about 3/4 of a mile away

Yes, we heard something/someone in the distance which sounded very like a Lotus having it's legs stretched! I strangely had a cyclist & pedestrian waving at me on the way back, all whilst within the speed limits - I think the "pop" on the upshift on the little car makes them think I was exceeding the limits (thank goodness I wasn't in my old GTV V6!).

I'll see if we can get some better weather to get together for a brew/mooch around the local roads with you

We were stood in the car park and all started giggling when we heard it. Must have been a minute or more after you had left but it sounded a very similar tone to the noise as you pulled away.
