Yup, seen it too a few times. Seems to patrol the Holyhead road/Four Pounds Avenue quite a bit. Usually uniformed plod inside so relatively easy to spot (although with 'Ford-owned' Jaguar being based in Cov there plenty of Mondeo ST's around.....)

Not unmarked, but looks like some sort of security vehicle from rear from a little way off- lower part of boot has hi vis cross hatching -yellow/white, has low level roof light ( blue) ,car is Seat Yellow - Seat Leon with police markings ( smalish) on doors.Seen on A444 Nuneaton --Coventry and also likes to sit on A444 , in laybye just before Ricoh Stadium ROUNDABOUT.

Intersesing then , i passed it in the layby just before Ricoh few weeks back , spotted rear markings, and noticed speedo slightly high - well high as 50 came into view - seat pulled out and followed me well into 30 parts of Coventry -must have got fed up as i dropped off speed further into town i got. ended up doing 25 at which point he went.

This followed me last sunday from junc 3 M6 ton Junc 4 but i spotted it on the sliproad @junc3 so i wasnt speeding.

I did notice that its sponsered on the doors by Listers

Looking back through this thread, local plod seem to have a hell of a lot unmarked cars in this area (or perhaps they've found this thread and swap the car for something else as soon as we mention it!!)

Volvo/BMW/Skoda and Ford currently have the marque on the Police vehicle (West Mids anyway), hence why they're all over the place. Volvo S60 is awesome, but sloppy on bends, Mondeo ST220 miles better on bends, and a little sluggish once meddled with (new clutch/box/engines etc). Beemers .. German engineering, Skoda's Octavia , quick but have a tendancy to blow turbos due to smaller engine

They also have a Nissan Primera in Brg. Its kitted out with the automatic number plate recg cameras! I've seen it round Kenilworth and Leam.
