another siging in here.. from Leamington Spa.

definately up for any runs and of you care to organise..

sadly midlands (as in proper midlands, not nottingham) events seem to fade into non-existance quite regularly..

Yep another one here depending on the weekend. Im based in Hinckley, in south-west Leicestershire, but its literally a few mins from the Warwickshire border. There are some great roads around here! and as has been said, thats the main reason a lot of the car companies use them for testing.

Are we talking just a meet up? or a bit of a run too?

Piers,

I'm in Warwick, so not far from you. Know what you mean about "proper midlands". Would be up for a meet/run whenever,

Cheers
Matt

How about a run up to Rutland for sunday lunch? See 'I'm now running a pub in Rutland' www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=215297&f=113&h=0 thread.

I've checked and all PH'ers are welcome. This sunday 13th Nov any takers?

I've heard that fosseway is a good drive. Im unfortunatley without my car as its having 6 trumpets and a few other toys added to it. Hopefully get it back for Chrimbo. I'll speak to my mate Joe who is a member on here and we'll try and organise a meet for sometime in the new year.

Fosseway is a good drive - I do it everyday to work and back - plenty of nice stretches for overtaking and if the conditions (and lack of other cars) permit you can do some good quick blasts on the straight stretches

Another from Stratford. Would be up for a meet rather than a Dawn Raid type affair, as I dont think my V8 Rangie will keep up with any of you down the Fosse Way .

Comments about unmarked Police cars:
I've seen 3 cars coming from the depot just off the M40 with bobby's in the front seats. Or seen them sat on Longbridge island doing nothing.
Dark Blue unbadged 5 series (previous shape, hope its not an M5!!)

It's starting to look good now - and a good range of cars. Keep the posts coming and we will have some well supported meets and road runs soon.

I'm just sourcing a new steering rack at the moment - before I do anything exciting.

There are a few good cheap trackdays available out of season as well. A wet trackday is not so hard on your engine and tyres also personally I love it in the rain
