After 26 years of one career I now find myself running a pub. Its The Kingfisher at Preston in Rutland.
Pistonhead members are most welcome to meet up here, Sunday lunches are excellent and served through to late afternoon!! ;)
Weekdays are quiet so come in and say hello, although I'm now hoping to get Monday and Tuesday off.
The weekly menu is also very good. Large well lit car park so plenty of room.
Any suggestions for meetings please ask.
Mention this post and I'll get you a Coca Cola :D

Will take you up on that Mark, it's a good run to Rutland Water from Derby/Notts. Will get a Sunday lunch run organised, who is up for it? Emma? Tom?

Hello combine, we've been in touch before but I've been very busy changing jobs etc etc and I'm ashamed to say my wedge hasn't been out for a very long time
Will be great to get a selection of cars turn up, even if nowhere near the Ashby Folville turnout!!

Roll on Ashby Folville , can't wait till the spring , although apparently people still meet at that pub in smaller numbers through winter - enthusiasts !

Oh yes! Definitely sounds like a great idea. I'm always up for Sunday lunch and a good drive. Count me in.

I can't do Sunday 23rd or 30th October, 6th/20th/27th November or 11th December. So that leaves 13th November or 4th or 18th December as my only options this side of Christmas.

That date in november sounds good as well. How secure is the car park?

The car park is a regular pub car park but stands in its own grounds and there is a beer garden so plenty of room to watch your P&J.

I've been in that pub a few times, but some years ago. Sounds like a nice run...

Not too far from me either, and I'm very fond of La Famille Balmoral Vert. Might show face if the boss says I can go out

We were thinking about taking a run over that way shortly, our last attempt wasn't very successful.

Will make sure we pop in if we're in the area
