I can also recommend the Pyewipe (www.pyewipeinn.co.uk). I have a passing acquaintance with the owner, Bob Pickles, who runs a nice place. I believe the Locust car club meets at the Pyewipe too: www.pyewipeinn.co.uk/locost/index.htm
I'm interested in meeting up but I don't work locally so Friday, Saturday and Sunday are the only days I can attend. These days may not suit many people; would it be worth posting each interested users 'average' weekly availability to try and find a mutually agreeable day for a first meet?

Yep, Pyewipe good for me. Only just up the road tho so may have to come via Newark. There are some speed bumps on the lane down to the pub which may be a problem?? (Tuscan clears tho). Everyone make sure you have your P.h. badges on so we recognise each other......Dave.

OH, mummy, I want one..... Be a terrible shame to leave red smears all over the speed bumps. If there is any doubt an alternative venue could be the Dovecote on the A46 Lincoln-Newark(scamera free) at the Swinderby exit. Either is fine for me just be a shame for it to end in tears.Remember Hamond and Clarkson trying to get out of the carpark in the Zonda and GT40!! Its only funny when its not your car..
Ooh, Hi, thought I'd better check in as I started this thread! Sorry didn't make Virginia run sunday just gone (I opted for a weekend throwing up instead, great fun!).
Both Dovecote and Pyewipe are good venues - the one I originally suggested (The Royal Oak at Aubourn) is literally half-way between the 2 (check out postcode LN5 9DT on www.streetmap.co.uk) and has a big car park with no speed bumps in the way and perhaps less 'obvious' than the Dovecote which is in full view of a main road..... how about Thursday coming (9th Feb)? Which venue seems favourite and how many cars can we get there.... count my 996 C4 in...

Cool, who else?
Feel free to email me - I've got a couple of local takers already!
Not got me a PH sticker yet (it's onorder Ted, I promise!), but mine is a silver 996 C4.
Shall we say 7.30pm?
The pub (Royal Oak) does pretty decent pub food, I can email out a menu if anyone wants. Always at least 5 'proper' beers on tap as well (but, as always, watch that drinking and driving chaps!).
