Arse!

So, shall we have it on the 5th, minus BG

or on 26th, when hopefully everyone can make it

If I may be so bold as to make a duggestion: you're never going to please everyone. So pick a date and go with it. The sooner the better as far as I am concerned

Aug 26th is my 25th birthday pissup, followed by a trip to the LMES at Donny on the Sunday. All welcome!

another exciting development: Prodrive are doing an open day at banbury on the 29th and 30th July. See here:

www.prodrive.com/defaultflash.asp?M=1&SM=457

how about a visit to here, then drive back and go out in the evening for something?

Definitely in Budapest on the 22nd now. And will have to pick BtP's birthday shindig if it comes to it.

:d I signed up ages ago to read some stuff but haven't really been that interested in the community until now. Formerly a part of HondaRevolutions.

So what's the plan with this thing?

Err... I think I need to check out the 'pleasure' boat cruises and put my findings to people.

So what's the plan with this thing?

* Find pub, have drink, talk (car) rubbish.
* Move on to place to eat, have more drinks, spill drinks and food, talk much more (car) rubbish.
* Stumble to somewhere that stays open late, proceed to just pour drinks over clothes as it's much easier than trying (and failing) to drink them, talk absolute b*llocks, and plan a hungover Sunday morning breakfast/drive.

Depending on who's out, there may be the need to add "cause drunken scene" in the middle somewhere.

If it's a booze cruise, don't imagine it'll be much different, just a bit less walking between places and a bit more rocking from side to side.

Bear in mind that unless you can find about 130 people the cost per person will most likely include a dodgy barbecue with about 100 others who will probably be on a works funded do or a drunken hen night or, worse, both.

How about a magical mystery tour/pub crawl by coach (motoring theme)with perhaps a brief meal on the way (fish and chips anyone?) and then a town centre drop off for the hardier/younger members of the party who may then venture into the depths of Nottingham nightlife?

On the other hand the traditional drop out rate and necessary late arrivals for these events might just lead to a rather empty coach ...

Still, both coach and boat do sort of enforce and arrival and joining time.

Cant see us getting the numbers up for a boat or coach, plus its going to be a pain to organise, deposits, commitment, payment etc.

What say we just meet up in town in a bar, have a drink or three, go and get a pre-booked curry or whatever, then another bar and drink some more.

Go halves on the hotel rooms if sharing.

ie, the usual.

cheap, cheerfull, does exactly what it says on the tin.

I agree with Warren: on second thoughts, lets keep it simple (although I will be at prodrive seperatly during the day, and go out in the evening). Meet, drinks, food, drinks, dancing, drinks, chips and bed...

Sooooo, hands up who wants to stay in the same room as Warren after he's had a curry?

I'm with BG too on this one. Cheap and cheerful

Sooooooooo...

What do you fancy? Definitely not Turkish. The tapas bar had pretty lean portions. The Red Hot Buffet Shack was pretty good I thought, as was the curry. Any thoughts?

I think that the RHBS offers the best deal with Indian, Thai and Italian, not to mention pitchers of larger (even though it was Carling).

BTCC at Donington on 29/30th if that fits in with anyone's idea of a weekend out.

The spoiler being the Silverstone Classic over the same weekend - Aston Martin theme this year apparently.
