Hi All,
Just moved back to Retford after a spell in the North East and was wondering if there's any regular get togethers? I've taken over my dads place at the Whitehouses Inn and I'm looking at getting car lovers and Bikers in on a regular basis.
Beers cheep and so's the Coke It'd be good to have a blat around the surrounding roads as there's some real crackers.
Would love some feedback from you guys as to how you think it could work.
Cheers
Mick

Hi Mick, it may be worth you looking at the various threads about Ashby Folville (Leics) as this is a large event. Another one round here is every Tuesday at the Wild (Durham Ox on Tuesday evenings, but that's just bikes.

Hi Mick

I'm in Retford too, you've probably seen my filthy Rangie going past your pub and next time I'm in for a meal/drink I'll wear my PH t-shirt.

It would be great to get a meet running but we seem to be caught on the edges of the catchments for a lot of other meets that are about 45 mins - 1 hours travel, Ashby Folville, Griffins Head @ Papplewick, Matlock etc.

I popped in last Friday - the Caledonian bitter was good but more variety would be nice. Did you have your England shirt on?

Will probably call in again this Friday just after 6.

Hi there.

The closest meet I know to Retford is this one www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=133395&f=117&h=0.

I am from Retford myself - knowing their is a Pistonheader at the Whitehouses will certainly tempt me to come in for a drink, especially if there are a few like minded people there (and some nice motors in the car park). I've only got a Pug 306 GTi-6 at the moment, but hope to get a 'proper' (Caterham, TVR etc) car in the future.

There are some decent roads around here so would be nice to get a few meets/drives - and the Whitehouses is perfect for a short blat to Markham Moor roundabout and back for passenger rides and stuff..

Cheers, Greg.
