Some more pics - seems like I have a load of corrupt image files from somewhere around the middle of the session that didn't show up as errors on screen. Puzzling. And rather random at times by the look of it. Still investigating.

Meanwhile, in vaguely chronological order ... or not as the case may be.

I had got no idea it was so loud outside the car, it even drowned out the ricers arrival. Still, Gustav Holst eh? Mars the bringer of war eh? say no more, is your wife a goer?

A big thanks to Warren and James for bringing me the chips - not sure who paid but many thanks and I owe you.

One thing is for sure, they tasted all the better for being delivered by Bentley! That's a first for me. Must have a word with our local chippy and suggest they might offer such a service ...

Or maybe the the chips just responded well to Holst ...

Some great pictures there, LongQ. I'd never realy thought of the Fairlane as a big car - untill I saw it parked at the side of Warren's Bentley !.

Cheers guys.

There were some good ones in the files that I can't seem to read as well.

Still working on that.

Thought I would include the row of houses since once or twice they were trying to out-loud the V8 burbles - and Holst iirc. And it does seem to be their car park as much as the pub's!

Thanks Emma, I was planning on bringing it to the next meeting but it clashes with the Shardlow event again. Any one up for another PH meet at the Old Crown ?.

Hi Mike, Shardlow is a classic car meet but last month some of the Starkhomes lot went there instead. See the photos here www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=285495&f=113&h=0

Yes, the Shardlow meet is very, very good. Such a cross section of cars. I reckon it would be great if we alternated the two. 1st Tuesday at Shardlow, 4th Tuesday at Starkholmes.

That'll be Jim, he has the 350Z and also a nippy Saxo VTS.

(I still have the oil-powered CRV Warren, it's doing good.)

What colour was your Clio 182 when you had it? What did you reckon to them?

Warren for your amusement, those threads I was talking about on Cliosport: www.cliosport.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=23

You just have to read the titles to get an idea of what I was on about!
