The Stingray was indeed very nice, great value for anyone wanting something very different to modern European stuff, at £10K too.
Depreciation zero, so fuel costs don't really matter.

I had one from exactly the same year (1969), but in red.

What would make it even better would be if more of the regular Tuesday crowd showed when Denby comes around.
Most of the meet tend to be medium-distance travellers, several from Lincoln, Birmingham and Yorkshire were there.

Hi all, enjoyed the ride out on Sunday, (all of about 3 miles from where I live)!

My bro's car was the 996 tt & my mates the Stingray. We have quite a collection of mates with other 'interesting' motors but a lot of them went to the NEC on Sunday. We'd be up for a winter meet if the weather was anything like & if Beemer wants to arrange one.

Struggle with Tuesday nights as I take my mum to a local quiz, (aaah!), otherwise we'd have a run up to the Oakerthorpe meets.

Anyway, nice to see you guys and gals, as well as your motors.

Only popped in briefly this time, due to clashing TVR meeting, but was nice to see the Stingray and have a chat with car.chic, who very politely left the abuse about the cleanliness of my car to my less civilised TVR chums.

Hopefully stay longer next time. Might bump into a couple of you at Oakerthorpe.

Hi Guys

Shame I missed the meet on Sunday. Booked tickets for MPH Months ago and only found out about it the week before! I only live a few miles away as well which is a real shame.

Tell me more about the Tuesday meets in Oakerthorpe??

A few of us meet First Tuesday of every Month at a new classic car meet near Crich Stand(Not that we own old classics!!!!) and we could tie a trip over in with that....? For this Tuesday (hopefully!!!!) I think we have gathered up 2 x 911 Turbos, Tuscan S, Cerberra RR, Aston DB9 Volante, Evo FQ340, 911C2 and hopefully a few more to boot! It was fun last time and a few nice old classics up at the pub too! Plus he puts on a bit of free nosh!

Let us know

Sorry about not coming Sunday Paul, Bike GP was the clincher although Dave and I had a very heavy night on Wednesday at a freebee (bar) in Huddersfield. Think we were both 'under the weather' for a few days!!
What was the MPH show like?

Yeah - early doors though cos I have to get back to take my mum out! Game for a convoy drive over, should be fun if the weathers kind. It'll be dark so should see some flames!!
Did you know Ade's just bought an 03 996TT? Almost identical to Daves but without the piissy plate! He should be along for the ride.

Just realised you said Volvo............

Actually we went on Friday, thinking that it would still be nice and quiet with the kids at school.

VETERANS DAY HOLIDAY!

AAARRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Had to pay masses for 'preferred parking' to avoid an hour's queue just to park!
