A very pleasant evening - great to see everyone

You'll have to wait a bit longer to see what's replacing the S2000 - the deal's just fallen through Put the car through a full pre-purchase inspection at a local specialist and a couple of expensive things came up, but apart from them it was a very good car. But the dealer selling it isn't prepared to get the work done or move enough on the price - so it's time to walk away and keep looking cry

Yep - at least it only cost me a hundred quid rather than the £2.5k+ it would cost to do the work.

clap Good on you for walking away, lots of people don't, and end up with problems.

Yeah - thing is they didn't event try to negotiate and argued the toss about the specialist's verdict (ther garage selling it isn't a specialist in this marque). When they came up with a cock and bull story about 'someone phoned up this morning offering £500 below asking price to buy it unseen as-is' I just told them to sell it to them. rolleyes

Still, nevermind - got an appointment to view another car on Saturday morning bounce

I'm rather interested to know what the S2000 replacement will turn out be in the end! In the meantime, I've bought my Chimaera - a red 4.3 on the original OZ split rims. Going to pick it up by the end of next week bounce bounce .

judas, when you went from the 350Z to the S2000 i didn't see it lasting long to be honest.
The Nissan is a much better car.

Yeah - both the 350Z and the S2000 were my attempts to have a 'sensible' daily sports car. As an experiment it was interesting but, in hindsight, ultimately doomed to failure - I just don't do sensible! hehe

Nice try But I still feel the need to be unneccesarily secretive and cryptic so I'll say no more...
