Had another one fall through after the dealer decided to drop the price he'd already agreed on the S2000 by two grand. Not a huge amount but enough to make it worth looking elsewhere.

The situation's fluid at the moment and we're considering a few different models from the same marque so I can't be too specific - and of course it may all go pear-shaped leaving me with egg on my face (to mix my metaphors).

But here are some clues

More than four cylinders
Not a TVR!
Over 2 years old by quite a margin
Not very common

OK, we have...

* As cool as Ace-T's Mini, and if you ever seen/heard it, that means The Fridge

* 8 cylinders

* £2K not a huge amount (whilst I've been frantically checking on the ATM and then with my bank when a payment to my account in that region was coming in so I can pick up my Chim) - so it'll be a bit dearer than my car, then

* Not a TVR

* Not that many around

* Significantly older than two years, so that eliminates the AM V8 Vantage or a new-style Marcos for starters....
