Why not mate, can't do any harm. I'll spread the love to the guys in my local club but tbh most are members on here anyway!

Right,
Internet still not working at home - have a sneaky feeling that my flatmate hasn't paid the phone bill.

Anyway, as Dan said - not the best of turnouts but no matter what i think its a start. It was after all organised at V short notice and its near good old Xmas so to be expected really.

January 2007 we need to get something organised and get a meet set up - then we need to look at what sort of activities we can do as a midlands group. Whether this be drive, car show or just a general social activity (that obviously involves cars!).

Dan, i say go ahead and contact some people from the Cov thread and see what we can arrange. Will need to come up with a date in Jan for a meet though, and i think the windmill village inn we went to last night would be as good a starting point as any. Will leave this in your capable hands - as i have no net access - but give me a shout if you need any help.

Date January 9th 2007

Windmill Village Hotel Bar

That's the second Tuesday of the month (same as last night - there's a pattern forming here!)

Set up a new thread Dan, but best leave it until after Christmas when folks are bored and back on here more

It all has to start somewhere!

Thanks for the Classic Saab 900 Turbo info, I think I will have to get one on the way to my next TVR. Uksaabs have some very tempting classifieds... do you know any of the cars personnally?

BTW yes it is a long way to turn around but your car sounded great!

See you in Jan to discuss the regional plans for 2007.

Second tuesday of the month - suits me! Though on the 9th Jan my local saab group are having their meet (normally the 1st tues of the month) but i was planning on introducing the windmill village as a new venue for us so will just have to kill 2 birds with one stone. lol.

As for taking the long way to trurn around and having a bit of a blast - well it'd be rude not to (esp as you noticed it sounds so goddamn good!).

I know a few of the saabs for sale on uksaabs Duncan - if you are serious about buying one in the new year we can discuss it at the jan meet?
