I have to say that the dinky Peugeot 107 we hired down in Provence was a terrific little car. Almost all the driving over there was either sitting at 90 mph on the autoroutes or else we were climbing winding lanes at altitude, yet overall we got 47 mpg on 95-Ron petrol.
