Anyhoo, for those of you who couldn't be bothered coming along for the grand unveiling...

If you really loved me you'd have come around to see me. Oh hang on! I live in Sneinton hehe

Looks absolutely feckin' gorgeous. I'm so unbelievably chuffed for you both. (As were ma and pa when I told them last week that you had got a Ferrari.) Best tell the Misses to get a move on, eh! hehe

Oh and Em, there is no way we could bring it to Sneinton even if it were not a 'gangsta's paradise', the speed bumps would rip the bumpers off yikes

I am glad to see the posts above, after just hearing that a red Ferrari crashed near Derby last night, bursting onto flames and killing the male driver instantly. The female passenger survived, but badly injured.
Straight away i thought...NO!!!

Poor souls whoever they are though, i hope it's none of the 4 Ferari owners who post on Midlands PH.

Really enjoyed last night. Can I also add my own approving grunting noises re the lovely Ferrari!

Bob and I had a bit of a "moment" last night in Stafford - I was driving along the "Beaconside" road (towards the ex-RAF camp) UNDER the 50 limit (no - really!) when I observed a car coming towards us that had decided to overtake a truck - I had to come to a complete stop to give the tw@t room to get back in and even then he only just made it - phew!

Bloody hell. That's a bit close to home. As you said, hope it is not a PH'r but even if they weren't it is still very sad. Condolences to the family

Looks like I really missed out last night, all for the sake of a bottle of red calling me from the cupboard hehe

The Ferrari looks great, interesting about it being a 348 with 355 panels.

Anyway Pete, when the weather gets warmer, we can paint it the right colour, got a dozen cans of 'Jewish Racing Gold' warming up on the radiator

Still a bit stunned really and I was quite embarrassed to drive home like Miss bloody Daisy with Bev in the Tuscan behind wondering if I had actually passed my test!

hehe I'm sure it wasn't half as bad as me taking the Chim out for a test drive in rain sodden Suffolk what with having to adapt to RHD again and all. Stalled the engine on stopping for two out of five roundabouts, and got a nice blast of the horn from Mr. Eurobox behind me when I was a bit slow to enter one of said roundabouts...

Still, the first drives in a new-to-you car, particularly if it's a 'special' one, are sooo heartwarmingly good even when you're working the pedals like treading on eggs... cloud9

Oh, and your new acquisition looks abso-fricking-lutely stunning! thumbup

Great car, cant wait to see it in the light, dont worry about the driving I would have been as careful if I had just got it. Enjoy.

It makes for a decent value secondhand buy now, the 348.
It's funny how some Ferraris go for crazy money however old they are yet others like the 348, Testarossa, 456 and others are good used buys at sensible money.

Judas = Looks fantastic, 355 coupe is my fav ferrari of all time, only an hour ago I was saying this to KD at his gaff, your now living the dream

edited to add = those alloys are perfect too!

It's even better than that Gary, it's not a 355 (and no it is not an MR2 Warren nono laugh) It is a 348 with 355 door panels and front and rear bumper. Means that we get the 355 looks with the more simple mechanicals (and price) of the 348. It is about £1500 to change the back grille for round lights too. But I think that is a next year project really...

Still a bit stunned really and I was quite embarrassed to drive home like Miss bloody Daisy with Bev in the Tuscan behind wondering if I had actually passed my test! Sorry Bev

Hmmmm scratchchin i'm not too sure about that. How much would it cost to get some of the starfish alloys a 355 should have? they are the Kahn RS-R Classics that everyone has on their Saxo/106/Corsa. I cant imagine how they came to be on the car?

No offence Pete & Tracy, you can tt me at the mext meet.

If they are proper Ferrari wheels, and Khan modelled the RSR on them, to be able to flog Ferrari wheels to the Max boys, i'm gonna feel a right paperbag and will buy you a tank of juice for being such an arse

Warren you are funny hehe you are right, and it is a shame but we do not get to thump you or lighten your wallet of 95 litres of Shells finest yikes, they are the Kahns usually seen on the aforementioned Saxos etc. But it is a bit of a max power Ferrari anyway isn't it with the 355 bodykit! hehe Proper 355 ones are magnesium and horribly expensive.eek

It is lovely though.

Wonder what happened to the original 348 alloys though? they are very similar to the proper 355's anyway.

So Trace..... when are you popping round, all the better if you can leave Pete at home Love to get the neighbours curtains twitching at the sight of tottie in a Fezza coming to see me in my crippled state. hehe
Or in a week and a half I might be able to bend my leg enough to blag a ride.

Glad you pair have realised a dream, well done, almost makes me want to actually try a little in the employment area to better myself........well I did say ALMOST.
