Is that pub big white building with pretty large car park (can't remember what it called)? if so, only live 3 mins drive from it.

Might drag the noisy beast out of the garage tonight. Anyone know what the weather forecast looks like?

Nice turn out again last night. Nice to see everyone. - Hope the heating works again soon Bev!
So, with the next one scheduled for the 27th, shall we agree on an alternate venue for that one?

There are a two choices:

1, Back to the White Lion at Starkholmes. +points= comfy chairs, nice atmosphere, chippy proximity, - points = smallish car park (not a problem in winter?) bit of a bumpy road

2, somewhere else! hehe

Seriously though, I think there was a bit of a groundswell towards a move to a different venue. I can think of several pubs in the Oakerthorpe/Matlock/ Denby triangle that might be quite nice to decamp to, especially in summer - Ashover is very nice too. Does anyone have a preference?

I'd be happier back at Starkholmes for the following reasons, imo of course. Th pub has a better atmosphere, greater comfort, a real fire, a decent chippy and the run there is part of our PH culture, the car park has nicer scenary and the pub is quaint. Oh and I get a nice drive there and back.

Was good to see a few friendly faces again and catch up
