Hi Jay.

Just be aware that some of the old giffers really are very old.

Nice attitude.

The experience of the old, and the creativity and energy of the young is a great mix, particularly when each recognises it in the other.

Welcome to PH, Jay.

Cheers lurker it is a good mix of people to have and probably makes the day more interesting, i have never been to a meet such as the one your all on about

car.chick i said speed freaks because you dont buy a fast car to drive slow lol biggrin and it should be ok to still join its just that you have missed out on a couple of nights, if your not sure just come down anyway and have a look around and see wot goes on down there if you like it then talk to Russell Peatman (Tutor) and sort it out from there.cool

Irony, sir irony!

I'll definetely pop along if only to show you that those lot AREN'T speed freaks .... I really did have a standard Toyota Celica that kept up with a 911 (996) C2 (and not going slow) that car was the stuff of PH legend, known only as the Super Celica, a BMW 330Ci that couldn't wait to get round a Lamborghini Gallardo (Matt'll confirm this), a Boxster S that was the quickest thing on convoy on the Black Tie and Pie convoy (we're talking TVR's and Ferrari's there too) and now a 944 which hasn't done any proper fast run outs yet but I want to get the brakes and suspension sorted, tis gonna be my daily runner as well as a trackday car (which I'm going to get more into) biggrin

Which gives me an idea ... perhaps I could actually do this myself (brakes and suspension), no?

Will certainly be there next Wednesday, what time?

Now I've just got to go and find some sensible shoes frown

If you are ok to join up and that and if there is not too much work going on then im pretty sure russell will let you do brakes and suspension with one of us supervising

The times are 7PM - 9PM but if you get there abit earlyer then you could probably get cracking on with your suspension and brakes providing they allow you to do it

You seem to know your cars, i dont really know much about the high performance ones like BMW's,Lambos,Porches..ETC but i know bits and bobs about the Hot hatches that are around, i like my vauxhall novas at the moment lol great little cars to have sum fun in, very cheap aswell lol
