Blimey, an MG SVR....

Had some involvement with these back in the day, known by the MG Rover engineers who worked on it as Scrapheap challenge. biggrin

I was contacted by a local company ( To Me ) with a view to providing some trim components to start assembling a very low number of these beauties. Not heard anything since providing some samples, but we can but hope, I believe they had bought all the spares they could lay their hands on and were looking at a £50,000 price tag.
Sorry can't provide anymore info as they are keeping a low profile until they have a prototype.

That's John Newey's car, he keeps it at his MG dealership which is still keeping the faith over there in Dudley.

He'll gladly show the car to you if you ask nicely.

I saw the newly released BMW 2AT today in Clay Cross this afternoon. It may not sound like a significant spot but it is the first FWD vehicle that BMW have produced. smile

Spotted a Silver C43 AMG on the way to work today on the outskirts of Leicester; it was nice to see a non-current and rare AMG! Sadly not close enough to hear it and driving so no chance of a photo.

They don't though, Mini make them in Oxford, not BMW.

Yes same parent ownership, but different companies.

If you took that view Skoda make 4wd V12 carbon supercars and Tetley tea make the F type.

And yet the latest f56 varient is based on the one series platform, regardless of the place or company name thy ain't based on the original design, and are BMW's.

Seriously?! rolleyes

I thought it went without saying, obviously not. The MINI brand is a separate entity away from BMW. The Audi A1 and the Seat Ibiza have the same basic architecture underneath, likewise the Rolls Royce Ghost with the BMW 7'er. Would you tell me those examples are from the same brand?

The new F56 Mini is the first car off the new UKL1 platform, but that means virtualy nothing to anyone, but I'll agree it's not the original 1950s Mini, in the same way the current 911 shares nothing with the 356, things have moved on somewhat.
