Really?

Hmm yeah probably went a bit overboard by saying carbon and bling. But the current M5 looks quite different from a standard 5 series, whereas the E60 doesn't really.

Another from about a month or so ago, about 500 yards from where the M5 was. Not as cool as old school Alpinas but still nice:

On the topic of M5's, at the services by my work today I spotted an immaculate E39 M5 in a silver/blue with an M5 registration, a 64-plate GT86 in yellow with some kind of (factory?) bodykit, and a white Insignia VXR, which I don't think I've ever seen on the road..

I saw the same Maserati Ghibli V6d (pictured above) in nigh on the same location this morning. There was also an Alfa Romeo 156 GTA Estate which brightened up my lunchtime.

I finished work early so opted to take the scenic route home and saw my first "15" plate, a Fiat 500C Abarth and a pre-facelift Audi R8 V10 Spyder which turned into the bypass heading towards Sheffield.

All spotted in Chesterfield at various times throughout the day.

I saw a red Porsche 911 Carrera 4S this morning heading out of Chesterfield towards Darley Dale/Matlock this morning. The car itself wouldn't normally warrant a mention on this thread but I saw it gain rapidly behind me so at the earliest opportunity, I let him by. While I am normally the one overtaking, I didn't mind being overtaken. That flat-six howl as he overtook me was great to hear and it continued as he overtook the Evoque and Golf ahead as well. I saw the same Porsche heading back into Chesterfield this afternoon.

I also saw a Rolls Royce Ghost heading along towards Clay Cross, just going past Autocars of Tupton on the Derby Road.
