RESSE said: You are of course entitled to your views, which I respect. Translation: I now realise the error of my ways. Gompo said: I am 90% sure I saw this (if not a replica based on this car) travelling in the opposite direction on the M1 (it was Northbound) around junction 29. Looked great! Wow. I don't know why but I love bread vans and SMs. Thinking it wasn't a proper factory breadvan though, afaik they didn't have to make any homologation models and the racers would be few, fragile and locked away forever I suspect.

RESSE said: I will 'blame' him for bad parking as there were 20 unoccupied spaces either side of the car. No matter how many spaces are empty some knuckle dragger will still park next to you.

You are probably right. I don't think I've seen an SM on the road before, spotted the distinctive front end ahead but with the obvious high closing speed I couldn't spot a registration or whether it was LHD/RHD or whatever. May have to research whether there is a known replica about.

I don't think I've ever seen one while driving... probably would have crashed. It's not the swively lights or the hydro-pneumatic suspension, what excites me is the Maserati engine and well, they've just got a certain... je ne sais quoi

I've seen more Citroens today (GS being the most interesting), looks like the an international show being held this weekend near Harrogate. Hopefully some pics will be around of said SM, glad it wasn't my eyes playing tricks.

There is a black 458 Spider knocking about Graypaul at the moment. I assume a customer car unless dealers are having demos.

I saw my first Toyota GT86 today in Chesterfield outside Eyres Furniture - It looked great. I will consider one in a few years I think. Also a classic Mini going down Brimmington Rd North, Chesterfield outside car wash.

Morgan Aero Supersports, "Stromboli Green" cruising along Valley Road (ring road), Nottingham, eastbound mid afternoon today, top open looked fantastic. Saw the very same car on the same section of road about an hour later heading westbound obviously enjoying the car and the sunshine for his afternoon cruise.

Nice black Porsche 911 (991) at Chesterfield TESCO right now. I had my doubts, but I have seen a couple now and it is a lovely classic shape. Well done Porsche!

The 991 is a cracking car I agree. Saw a new shape Boxster today (same one twice in fact) and I do think it looks better for a makeover. Not sure about it in white though.

I have seen two examples of the new shape Porsche Boxster. It does look very good and much better that the outgoing one. I think Porsche are always getting a bad press in the styling dept but they know how to keep a classy and classic shape, up to date.

Yes, the original volkswagen type 1 look is a timeless classic, it's just a shame they haven't figured out that it works better with the engine inside the wheelbase.

Another Toyota GT86 today on the Chesterfield by-pass! It looks great and I think it may be a serious contender for a change of car in a few years. It looks very good IMO.
