Seriously?! rolleyes

I thought it went without saying, obviously not. The MINI brand is a separate entity away from BMW. The Audi A1 and the Seat Ibiza have the same basic architecture underneath, likewise the Rolls Royce Ghost with the BMW 7'er. Would you tell me those examples are from the same brand?
For the record, my post was aimed at Mr Pedantic above wink

My apologies for any confusion - my post was aimed at him as well.

TVR Cerbera on the M1 northbound today at around 4:10pm, I think it headed towards Trowell Services.

Travelled in the dark (hence no photo) in convoy for over 40 miles up the A1 with a 1971/2 Lotus Élan in blue. Steady 70 mph, sounded lovely. Nice to see it being used - much better than sitting in a garage and being run once a month in summer.

I saw a Tesla Model S in Eastwood, Nottingham earlier this afternoon. It was a red example with the RO14 plate which is similar to the press plate. It might have been the press motor but couldn't confirm either way. It has sales success in the USA, but it was my first example I have seen in the UK. I like it.

There is a grey Tesla I see regularly in Nottingham - private plate is TE51 LAS. The more I see it the more I like it.

Saw a white one this morning in Brinsely heading towards Underwood.
1st I have seen in the U.K. Saw quite a few in Norway when I was there in the summer.

I saw a Model S a couple of months ago, somewhere inclusive of this thread but can't remember for sure. I think it was in Chesterfield. I do remember it was in this colour..

I saw a black one of those parked outside the City Ground in Nottingham after the last match. I bloody love them.

Just another two noteworthy motors;
1) BMW (E46) M3 CSL driving past J27 of the M1, around 10:00pm. Anyone on here?
2) A white Rolls Royce Ghost driving down the M1 before coming off at J22. Spotted around 10:30pm. smile

Black (reg was helpful here) Aventador driving up the A435 towards J3 on the M42 about 7.30 this morning. Fair play as it was lashing down with lots of spray and standing water. Brave driver.

Today.

On the M1 around junction 29 Northbound, a Lotus Cortina Mk2 Convertible in usual Lotus colours, and what I believe was a Mercedes 190 SL in silver/grey with a burgundy soft top.

Near the A38 at Lichfield, a 991 Turbo S in white. Very nice.

Yesterday, not so exciting but was a nice surprise in Worksop:

In the last year or so I've really come around to the looks of the W218 model, after previously thinking it was a let down after the W219.

I saw a BMW i8 in Chesterfield, around ten minutes ago. It was a very brief glance as I saw it on an awkward junction, at night and it was a black example - like I said, it was a breif glance but the front LED's is similar to an R8 in my opinion.

I will wait to see another example in the day, and in more detail but if the Tesla and this i8 are the future, the future ain't as bad as I previously thought. While on the subject of the i8, has anyone seen the recent video from ThatDudeInBlue. It's good.

I had the great pleasure of being convincingly dusted by a Corvette C7 (I think, as it was dark) last night on the A38 around the Lichfield area. I now want one.
