Newcastle under lyme plod seem to have a new toy, a 61 Reg Astra in black. Think the plate started RV61. Saw it when I was out driving.

A black A6 TDI reg BX61 OCD with a dog grill thing on the M6 between Junctions 8 and 2 Southbound.

Bit of baiting going on, absolutely razzed up behind me, for some reason I didn't particularly like the feel of it, so I pulled over. Only for them to pull in behind me.
Obviously got bored, flew past - I had a good look to see if it was police, and they just looked like two blokes wearing casual black jackets messing around. They slowed down, I went past, they pulled out and accelerated up behind me again, I pulled in... you get the picture, they did the same with a few other cars on the stretch of road.

Definitely police, flashy flashy lights came on briefly when I had had enough of the 'game' and dropped a couple of gears to overtake them doing 60 in the middle lane (fortunately didn't go anywhere near fast enough for them to pull me over), Mr cheeky in the passenger seat gave me wave and wink as they went past.

Of course it didn't. No idiot would spend time writing out a post describing something that didn't in fact actually happen at all.

Have you forgotten how to use punctuation recently?

Take it or leave it, I was amused by the whole incident but I'm fairly sure if someone was pulled over for speeding by them they'd be less than happy. Just letting you know what I saw and how *very* unmarked and not at all obvious it was.

Strange really. I patrol that very stretch of motorway every day. Can't say I've ever used an A6. Can't say we've even got one on the fleet.

Well, in that case you've got a case of two guys in a Black A6 (TDI) reg BX61 OCD driving round with blue flashing lights in their front grill.

  • edit. As I stated, they weren't behaving like police either which made it even more surprising when the lights came on.

I'd suggest ( as might our bib posters) a quick call to 999(police) with reg and details . Quicker the likes of Elroy & mates take him off- the safer our motorways become .

Was on the M40 yesterday, around J15. When a plain white '10 plate caddy van came screaming through the traffic with blue lights concealed in the front grille and rear lights. I'd of never suspected it!

They're not traffic cars as such, although obviously they do some traffic work, they belong to the Armed Response Unit.
Thats cool. I wouldn't have thought there would be an armed response unit being around here but I guess they will be located all over.
I've seen those Volvo ARU cars and their driver's in action, they dealt with some youngsters who went in to the Post Office in our village with a gun at the start of the school holidays last summer - to say the lads 's**t a brick' when faced with armed plod was something of an understatement ;D

Thought I'd seen you about. I work at a very close ex-mining town...

(Although I'm regularly found in the chip shop of the aforementioned Yew named pub containing village)

lol, there's loads of those round here, you'll have to be more specific.

I do go in the chippie sometimes, but the portions are way to big (even the small ones) and we always end up leaving loads (despite getting one small portion between us).

I guess with a driveway resembling a parking lot, we are quite noticeable...... lol
