Grey 3 series that I've seen several times, SF64xxx.

That was a spectacular exit M5 North, Droitwich slip on Thursday morning 10am, ish. Right up the chuff of that berk in the outside lane who obviously last looked in his mirror about 1988 and then scythed across the 2 HGVs infront of mine and down the slipeek

Would it not have been safer to hit the hard shoulder at 400yds ?

Joe Public would have been up before the Bench with a very thick magazine down their backside for a stunt like that.

I saw a grey BMW 3-Series ST64 HZH pull over a Morgan Aeromax on the M5 South near J7 late last night. I'd seen the same BMW on the M42 North near Hopwood earlier in the day.

Would anyone in the know care to comment as to why recent police cars are not registered locally?

That'll be the one I've seen, ST not SF. Apart from grey hairs, creaking knees and legs "going", memory loss is the main downside to getting old. There's a black 3 series NX15 xxx that I've seen on both M5/M6 around Brum. N is a Newcastle plate.

Every PHer knows what CMPG drive, so the tell tale signs are no badges and no Arnold Shark / Chav Princess stickers. I've never understood why people keep dealer stickers stuck to the back window ? Unless they're paying me to advertise their business, it peels straight off into the bin and they can fook right off.

South Wales Plod run marked / unmarked Skoda Superbs. Seen both types along the M4 Swansea / Port Talbot. A grey Superb is the ultimate stealth machine, V6 5.5 ish and 155 tops.

It will depend where they got them from. Most cars at where I work (I'm in IT for a force) are locally registered.

Though our pool cars and a lot of panda cars are K* registered, I'm guessing as they are Astras are ordered direct from VX or something.

There are also odd unmarked cars with non local regs ( these seem to be non "standard cars" like an s60 or s3 rather than the normal 330d etc)

^ that might have been a unmarked firearms car you stumbled across - they are normally A6 avants with blacked out rear windows running quite low on the suspension (due to the weight of the armour plating wink )

Derbys? I think they're fleet cars brought in bulk and registered pre-delivery.

Some of the past 'unusual' ones have been seized. The Impreza's on SALCU were many years ago. From a drug dealer if I'm told correctly.

I'm from a neighbouring force but used to work on the big blue & yellow thing that lands in the field next to the workshops..

I've seen one or two grey Audis recently, plus at least one of those Octavia VRSes. (nice.) VERY stealthy light installations, lovely fit inside the grilles. You wouldn't notice them at all unless you had the chance to stare at the radiator up close (which I did whilst one was parked wink

Have West Mids RPU part-exed their trusty BMW 5 series?

Saw an unmarked white BMW 1 series coupe a couple of times in Derby yesterday whizzing up and down the ring road, once by itself and once following an ambulance, sirens and strobes both times. Unfortunately didn't catch the plate, but really strange choice for a plod car I thought - only one I've ever seen..

Blue 3 series with the same ST64 plate (can't remember the rest) as the grey 3 series on previous page.

Passing the garden centre on A38 Worcester North by the park n ride this morning. Not lit up but I clocked the two 5-0 inside. Have these ST64 cars replaced VX12 FEG/FEF 5 series ?

I used to see these every week but haven't seen for several months. Gone to the great gig in the sky ?

JN02 JSN

Those lights look like they'd be well hidden when not flashing...

NX15 GOH, had a new Focus ST stopped M6 J4 about 1030 this morning. Saw it again later, unlit, taking in the scenic delights of Smethwick (a very short tour hehe) at the Galton Bridge roundabout.

Previously mentioned grey 3 series ST64 HZH, taking the Worcester South slip M5, 6am Monday morning.

Also saw a lurid green Gemballa Cayenne on the M6 at Fort Dunlop. Absolutely hideous vomit Got to be either a footballer or pimps motor.

ST64 HZS, had a crappy old Megane stopped on the shelf at Sixways, Worcester, Thursday lunchtime. It's dark blue rather than that hideous pale blue that a lot of 3 series have.

Another Blue Peter badge for me music

Silver 5 series estate, BX62 TBZ. Had a punter on the shelf, M40 south between Gaydon and Banbury, about 1215 today.

Saw it again later with some god awful Peugeot people carrier / skip, M40 north Henley Hardon.

I keep seeing a 2010 Chrysler 300C CRD in the Rugby area (reg S44 GRT).

He's got a proper siren and blue lights (in grill and on roof bars), but it doesn't look particularly legit.

Someone playing at being a policeman? Or some kind of medical / doctors car? (thought they had green lights).

Possibly a Fire Chief?
I think they used to use their own personal car's rather than Service supplied? (Expenses paid of course).

With a private Reg it's no doubt someone playing about.
Either that or private medical service?

Who me ?

Has anyone else heard the Warks Police warning about an unmarked blue BMW that's pretending to be a copper?
