South Midlands Monthly Meet - First Tuesday Eve of the Month
Discussion
Sadly I won't be able to come tomorrow night due to me seeing a physiotherapist - I incurred a shoulder injury and it's so bad that I can't lift my right hand above shoulder level.
I hope you have a good evening.
By the way, it might be time to discuss a change of venue? Because a) we've been there a few years b) Sam, being a Pistonheader is no longer in charge c) price of meals starting to raise questions

I'm up for tomorrow if anyone else is coming? Keep it at the Red Lion this month if it happens, move it next month maybe?
Venue - couple of immediate thoughts:-
- The Moorings - fairly central, good size car park, good food.
- The Hatton Arms, or whatever it's called now. Seems popular again...and supposed to be good.
Other ideas:-
- Saxon Mill location is good, but it's always busy and not cheap
- Old Mill @ Baginton location even easier, and big car park, but not sure on food now and they've a lot of business custom in the hotel in the week
- Stag at Offchurch is close to Red Lion but pricier and usually busy
- ...somewhere in Kenilworth as another middle-ground location?
(Jason - how easy is it for you to get through Baginton roadworks outside of rush-hour...realised all of these are S of Coventry)

I can help with Kenilworth Although being based in Gloucester in the week still I'm not going to make it The Queen & Castle & Clarendon Arms - same public car park opposite the castle - always busy for food.
The Famous Virgins & Castle and the Old Bakery - on street parking, never any available; can park at the Castle & walk but it defeats the point
The Cross - nice gated car park which tends to be quiet - mostly food (has recently changed hands to a Michlein starred Chef!)
The Almanack - public car park behind, bit of a trendy wine bar
The Lion - Waitrose car park behind
The Bear & Ragged Staff - Sainsbury's car park
The Green Man - own car park which tends to be busy, good food
I'll second Fesuvious's comments for The Falcon at Hatton as nice pub; good food & large car park, tends to be used by bikers (now that the Waterman has gone all post & changed it's name and so is no longer so freindly towards them) always a good sign
