I've got a soft spot for these, they came out when I was 16/17 & had a Saturday job at the village Ford dealer.

I'd forgotten about this Thread. I replaced my Monaro in 2012 with this Holden E3 GTS, 6.2 V8

Love the GT 40, be interested to know how the build and in particular the IVA was like.

Car was built pre IVA so i cant tell you. However i can say its a very hard build, bodywork is hard to get right. Its an early tornado, 1991. I think they are more developed these days with more proven parts than when i had to experiment with what was on offer at the time. Never a quick build though!

I've built a Westfield and 3 Caterhams, this sounds rather more involved to put it mildly!

Lovely thing though, how's it drive?

I've always worried they'd be a bit noisy / hot to enjoy?

Really enjoying it, no need to be driving silly fast to get excited and everyone likes TVRs.... It's at the office at the mo. Just a fun car.

They do, I loved mine, I'm tempted to add a Tamora to the garage, just need a good one to come up.

Tamora on 16" wheels is a very sweet handling car. There don't seem to be many around at the mo... and prices are definitely on the up!
