Recommendations needed please. First company I phoned was hesitant to travel too far to see me. Second company I went to see would only quote at their office and on arriving I was asked to leave the forecourt as they had too many cars parked up at the time. And there was me thinking there was a recession on. Anyone want my business?

I've used Dings & Dents in Bristol before for a few cars and they have always done a good job for me.

I pretty much always use richard @ dentmagic on mine and customers cars. 1st class - and the things he can get out perfectly are amazing. Even with a detailers eye!

My wife borrowed the Monaro yesterday, and this thread has proven most valuable.

My S3 gets regular kerbing of wheels from the wife - I've found Dentmagic to be the best local option.

I'm no doubt going to acquire minor scuffs from our city centre street, so I'll try them for that too.

Hi

Just had a bad experience with RDS Autobodies in Winterbourne, Bristol (Robert Silverthorne).

He was supposed to be re-spraying my classic car, but after 5 weeks all he had managed was to skim a few panels with filler. Worse than that, when I turned up unannounced, I found the car had been left out in the rain for the whole time, so the filler had soaked up rain water and the bare metal had rusted. Amateur.

So, I'm looking for a decent paint sprayer near Bristol. Any recommendations?

Cheers
Jim

I used these guys a few years ago, albeit when they were in much smaller premises round the corner from where they are now.

Service was very good, and from what they had in at the time they seemed more geared towards classics than moderns.

That said, they have now moved into much bigger premises and seem to be leaning towards being a general garage.
