South west Breakfast club AV8 cafe
Discussion
I hope that the AV8 is OK. I was there yesterday and was left unimpressed. The refurb comprised repainting the walls the same colour, removing the airplane pictures and putting a new light over the counter. TBH we could not see what was different had had to ask the staff what they had done. At 11.30 they had stopped doing breakfast and were not doing lunches until 12.00 and then all they had to offer was a pork roast or baguettes. They were very dis-organised and then the staff gave the impression that they were clueless. As we were waiting for the fog to clear we had a baguette but the table was dirty and there were clearly months of crumbs in the cracks in the table top. In the 3/4 hour we were there a number of people came in to eat, thought better of it and left. I hope this was a glitch, as before it was always pretty good.

I plan to go (weather permitting) and providing its looking like a reasonable turn out (Not looking encouraging so far).If not enough interest then I will head down to the Beaulieu meet near Southampton instead (details also on SW forum).
